Life in quarantine has been both interesting and challenging. Interesting because staying at home gave me an opportunity to bond with my baby sister and share in activities such as tuning in and participating in our church’s prayer line sessions and sharing in the Sunday Brunch services with the rest of the family. It has also taught me the value of friendship, I learned that I don’t like being indoors for long periods; I like socializing with friends; I miss the trips to and from school, seeing and interacting with my school friends.
The biggest challenge is not being able to do the things I enjoy like buying food from places like Chipotle and Wendy’s but most of all I was unable to get started with my driving lessons classes; I really want to learn how to drive soon. Additionally, I don’t like doing remote learning because I tend to forget to do my work and I don’t feel motivated to get my work done when I am away from the classroom setting. Staying at home can also be boring, all I do is wake up go on my online class, bathe, eat, play with my little sister, watch tv. and play some video games. I am hoping that quarantine finishes soon because I miss the outside world and it’s hard to imagine how college will work if we are still in quarantine. My preference is to go to the physical college building rather than doing online work.
